Our department consists of 35 highly trained and dedicated paid-on-call volunteers and two full-time chief officers. All members are fully certified as both firefighters and emergency medical technicians by the time they complete their probationary period. Our members come from all over the Kansas City area, and sometimes even farther! Many of our members are full-time firefighters for other departments in the Kansas City metro area who choose to continue volunteering with us.

Chief Justin W. Lee was hired as the Fire Chief in 2024.  Chief Lee has over 30 years of experience in the fire service and holds a bachelor's degree in fire administration.

Assistant Chief Chris Hull joined the department as a volunteer in 2009. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2014, and then Assistant Fire Chief in March of 2020. He holds a bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Political Science.
