Our Members

Our department consists of 35 highly trained and dedicated paid-on-call volunteers and two full-time chief officers. All members are fully certified as both firefighters and emergency medical technicians by the time they complete their probationary period. Our members come from all over the Kansas City area, and sometimes even farther! Many of our members are full-time firefighters for other departments in the Kansas City metro area who choose to continue volunteering with us.

Fire Chief

Chief Mindy Andrasevits was hired as the Fire Chief in November of 2021. Prior to serving as our chief, she was a fire inspector and investigator for St. Joseph, MO fire department and a firefighter for North Kansas City, MO fire department.

Assistant fire chief

Assistant Chief Chris Hull joined the department as a volunteer in 2009. He was promoted from Lieutenant to Assistant Fire Chief in March of 2020.

Lieutenants

Lt. Yvette Gadberry joined the department as a Lieutenant when Eudora Fire Department and Eudora Community EMS merged in 2007.

Lt. Jacob Long joined the department in 2016 and was promoted to Lieutenant in September of 2018. He achieved his Paramedic certification in 2021.

Lt. Brett Sipes joined the department in 2017 and was promoted to Lieutenant in November of 2019.

Lt. Patrick Schneider joined the department in 2015. He achieved his paramedic certification in 2016 and was promoted to Lieutenant in December of 2020.
